Gardeners for plant lovers! Ophelia Gardening is a small and personable female team available for regular garden maintenance and one-off bookings across North London.
We are looking for plant lovers with medium and small-sized gardens who are after some help taking care of their garden.
What can we bring to you? We are dynamic, fast-working and strong, with an eye for shapes. We are Horticulture AND Design trained, which means we can help you keep a garden which looks great AND is ecologically sound and long-lasting.
Listening is high on our skill set! We are friendly, competent, trustworthy, fully insured and on your side! Unlike a lot of gardeners, we bother to turn up ... and turn up on time!

Border Upkeep
We'd LOVE to help you have bountiful and floriferous borders and will happily prune and weed where needed to keep them looking their best.
Our horticultural training assures we know the best time of year for pruning on a plant-by-plant basis.
Pruning
Most gardens will need at least semi-regular pruning on the shrubs and trees within and we are happy to deliver eye-pleasing shapes to help your garden look the best it can.
We can provide tree-pruning for trees up to about 3 metres in height - beyond that is outside of scope (we have a trusted tree surgeon to call on, should you need one).
Pot Planting

We provide stunning pot and container planting where needed. We will listen to your specific needs - whether you're looking for something steady and lost-lasting or whether you prefer a star that's shorter-lived but burns brightly!
This year saw us designing and planting up the pots at RHS Chelsea Flower Show for the National Garden Scheme stand with much complimentary feedback on their look and feel.
Turf Laying
We are able to prepare the ground and lay turf to a high standard so that you can have a nice lush spanking new lawn to loll about on.
Hedge Trimming
A keenly trimmed hedge provides great structure for offsetting your more loosely growing perennials.
We always keep the hedge trimmers handy so we can whip any hedges into shape.
We have industry-leading Stihl hedge trimmers of a professional grade to give your hedge a very clean finish.
Soil Improvement
Not the most exciting sounding BUT soil conditions are a key determiner of whether a plant will survive or not and sometimes the soil needs some work!
We can evaluate / test your soil and remedy by digging in grit, adding organic matter and mulching as needed.
It is possible to leave the soil as is and choose plants that are adapted to your particular ground conditions. Right plants, right place! Happy to advise on this, also.
Plants Watering
There is nothing worse than worrying that your plants will die whilst you're on holiday. Or, even worse, not booking a holiday at all just in case (yes, I know people who do that!).
We can keep your plants hydrated (and alive!) whilst you are on holiday by popping in and watering them as needed. Happy to monitor the weather forecast and go only as often as needed (ie, not in the rain!)
Planting
We are dab hands at getting those plants our of their pots and into the ground. Digging is our middle name!
You will soon have beautiful looking borders and without the back ache.
Happy to plant those you have bought yourself or to go shopping on your behalf if you prefer. We can even go to the nursery together if you're inclined to choose your own but with some advice to hand.

Grimey grimey grim. It can be hard to keep the grimace off your face when your environment feels mucky, can't it? We know that feeling.
If you would like your patio to be brought back to its former sparkling glory, look no further. We will Karcher it within an inch of its life! As tenderly as possible, of course.
Lawn Mowing
Having a lush green lawn is a lovely thing but it's a bit time consuming to keep on top of it, isn't it?
We will gladly take this on for you so that you can enjoy its looks whilst carrying on with the rest of your life!
We travel with our own Bosch lawnmower and 50 metre extension lead so that even long lawns can easily be taken care of.
We like to edge a lawn too to leave it with that professional and crisp finish.
